UK Familiarisation Course- On Road Training

Aimed at:
Drivers who are full licence holders and are new to driving in the UK. To further assist drivers where English is not their first language Driving Services can provide trainers that speak a number of different languages including Cambodian, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Polish, Italian, Hungarian, Portuguese, and other languages.

Location:
Any location, your head office, depot or a local hotel etc.

Duration:
Half day

Driver/Trainer Ratio:  1:1

Aims
To reduce or eliminate the risk of an incident occurring when driving a vehicle in the UK as well as highlighting UK traffic law.

Objectives:
At the end of the session the driver will:

• Drive the vehicle in a safe and smooth manner.
• Be aware of UK Law, Legislation and rules of the road.
• Understand where the main dangers are when driving in the UK.
• Be able to drive on all roads and understand the road Network.

Method:
By the use of a briefing on the Highway Code and on road session, the programme will focus on the needs and requirements of the driver. This will be based on the level of experience attained and the country of origin.
