Skid Control and Vehicle Dynamics course

Aimed At:
All drivers who require an understanding of skid control techniques, ABS and vehicle dynamics. The course will involve theory, and practical off road training.

Location:
Driving Services have access to 2 fixed locations within the UK. Alternatively any suitable location you may have access to that can accommodate Skid Car.

Duration:
Half day or Full day

Driver/Trainer Ratio 1:1 or 2:1                  

Aims
To learn how to reduce or eliminate the main cause of a skid, and how to correctly regain control if such a skid occurs.

Objectives:
At the end of the session the driver will:

• Be aware of all types of skid and the causes.
• Be aware of the methods of using the forces acting on the vehicle in a positive way.
• Be able to identify a potential loss of control early and deal with it effectively.

Method:
By the use of briefings and practical sessions in a specialist skid car or skid pan the programme will focus on the needs and requirements of the driver.
