Driver Safety and Accident Prevention Events

Driver Safety & Accident Prevention Events are designed to raise overall awareness of all drivers to various aspects of your driver training programme. They can be based at your location, if you have sufficient space for the events you wish to have, or they can be at one of several locations designed for the purpose throughout the UK.

Below is a list of events Driving Services can run on your behalf.  These can be split and run individually or as a whole event for employees and family members.

A One Day Safe Driver Event including – Safe Driving Display Boards, the use of the Scalextric Track, Eye Test Machine, Road Safety Leaflets and Handouts, Various Road Safety quiz’s (with prizes). A member of the Driving Services Team spends the day at your premises raising awareness on road safety.               

Fault Finding Exercise – A vehicle on display with a number of faults for drivers to identify and list.  Trainer/Vehicle   

Playstation – A rally or similar game attached to large screen. Trainer/Playstation & Screen                    

Driving Simulator – A realistic driving simulator. Simulator/Trainer                   

Observation Drives – Trainers take drivers out for a 10 minute drive and will then ask questions about the drive. 2 Trainers/2 Vehicles    

Wheel Changing – A trainer will carry out demonstrations every 10-15 minutes. Trainer/Vehicle                                     

Classroom Sessions - Bespoke sessions held on topics including personal safety/vehicle maintenance/general driving. Sessions to be held throughout the day at different times to suit. Trainer                                                                                    

Manoeuvering Exercise – Drivers will have the opportunity to drive around a course without losing the ball out of the bowl on the bonnet, a true test of smooth driving!

Trainer/Vehicle Co-ordination Exercise – Drivers have to carry out timed exercises with a digger (e.g. taking tennis ball off cone, moving it around and replacing it again).  

Driving Services can manage the whole safety event for an additional charge of 10% to the total event cost. Prizes can be provided as requested.
