What experience do your trainers have?
We have over 120 DSA fleet registered trainers based around the country. The majority have a police background, although this is not a pre-requisite. All Driving Services trainers have a wealth of experience to offer and the communication skills to produce maximum benefits from the training. They have all been through our selection procedures.

Where are the courses held & do I need a big group?
Wherever you need them. It can be your head office meeting room or a local hotel used for sales meetings. They can also be at any pre-arranged meeting place for a one to one session. You do not need a large group. If it is difficult to release groups of drivers, it does not mean they should miss out on training. The training is flexible and will meet your needs and requirements.

What vehicles do you use for the training?
Usually the vehicles that your drivers drive in the normal course of the day. On occasions training vehicles are hired if drivers do not have company cars. Pool cars are also used.

Do I need to have a theory session?
The theory session helps to alleviate any apprehension drivers might have about the training. There are occasions, however, when clients have drivers in the field and cannot get them together. In this case we would meet them at an agreed location and have a short briefing.

What if I cannot spare my drivers for a full day?
This is an issue which is easily overcome. The training would be one half day on a one to one basis. It should be arranged near the drivers own territory to maximise the time and reduce wasted time travelling. The training can be arranged during the drivers actual working day provided the majority of the time is spent driving.

What do the drivers get at the end of the training?
A debrief is carried out by the trainer where the drivers discuss the days training. A driver training report is filled out with the driver and a copy is given to them at the time. A further copy is sent to our head office, processed and sent with a certificate to you. The certificates are issued to drivers who achieve a low or medium exposure to risk.
