DS retains contract to run North Yorks Driver Improvement Courses - 1st Dec 2005

Driving Services learned today that they have successfully retained the Contract to run Driver Improvement Courses on behalf of North Yorkshire Police.

Driver Improvement Courses are intended to address the problems of the causation of anti-social driving attitudes or minor acts of negligence whilst driving. Driving Services provide the Driver Improvement course based on a national model approved by ACPO (The Association of Chief Police Officers).

The course is designed firstly to reduce the incidence of re-offending amongst the public and secondly to reduce the occurrence of accidents and injuries to clients who have been identified as being at risk.
