Dixons opt for Driving Services Escalation Procedure Training

Driving Services announced today that it will supply Management training in Motor Fleet Risk issues to Dixons Limited, the electrical retailer.

The training, named Escalation Procedure Training will give 1st line managers the tools to deal with those drivers who have been involved in accidents over a certain pre-determined level. The training will include interview techniques, avoidable accident adjudication and on the road driver training. David Allenby, Fleet manager of Dixons Ltd said: “We have a very proactive approach to fleet safety, our accident numbers actually fell last year which shows drivers are taking more care. We wanted to introduce a more structured approach to the procedure in which drivers are educated after a crash to reduce the risk of them having another, similar crash. Driving Services have the experience and background to offer the right training for us to move forward with this”. Doug Jenkins, managing Director of Driving Services said: “It will be a pleasure working with Dixons Ltd. We have worked very hard to produce a creditable, worthwhile programme to offer a solution to their needs. The managers will be given the tools needed to carry out this educational process with drivers”. The first course is scheduled to start at the end of September.
