The need for road safety policies is stark, as there are 3 million company car drivers and a further 5 million drivers who carry out work-related journeys in their private cars. The proposed revisions to corporate manslaughter legislation have helped drive this issue up the corporate agenda.

Driver Awareness Schemes are offered, by a number of Police forces, to drivers who have committed a road traffic offence. They are offered as an alternative to prosecution.
